Annie Growling

I hope someone out there can help out...I called my Mom last night, as she is keeping Annie for us because we were away for the weekend. Anyway, they had company this weekend, and Annie growled at the lady the WHOLE TIME she was at their house. She also growled at my Grandma at first, but she quit. Why would she do this? How do I fix it???

Was your Mom babysitting Annie at your house, or at her's? If it was at your house, then Annie was only protecting her territory as you were not home.
If it was at your mother's house, then Annie may just be growling because she was afraid.....afraid of being apart from you, afraid of strangers, who knows.

Are your Grandmother and the other lady afraid of dogs? Does are very intelligent animals, they smell fear.

Does Annie like fried liver. With Stella to get her used to people, I had cooked liver and gave it to them. They showed Stella what they had, she came to them, ate a little, but they kept pieces on them, in their pockets...she got used to them and was no longer afraid of them.

Annie was at Moms house. the lady has dogs of her own, and my grandma is not afraid of dogs either.
