Talking Thanks ro Marko!

Thank you to Marko in allowing me to post photos so quickly! Well, as per previous posts, what does everyone think as to whether Buddy is a beagle or not?

He's a cutie! I love his spotted belly

He looks like an atypical beagle....longer in the leg, but not impossibly so. Despite the 'breed' name, there is more variation possible in a breed than a lot of people realize. We have a sweet midget of a setter who is only about half the size of our regular-size setters--when I really want to tease her I'll refer to her as my spotted beagle. Maybe she and Buddy met in a former life and exchanged size genes?

Buddy sure is a handsome, happy-looking fella! But then, he has all those beautuful California beaches to run on--how could he not be enjoying himself?

Talking Thanks everyone!

I think I'm going to become addicted to this site!
Hey want4rain, Thanks for the "flying beagle" pic. I couldn't help but laugh!!!
Ok, I can't resist....would you all mind if I shared just a few more of my best bud "Buddy"? We love him a lot. He is such a handful! But how can anyone resist those eyes?
Have a great day to all!!

Welcome to pets.ca .....Buddy is a very handsome boy. I agree that he looks more like a harrier or foxhound though than a Beagle.

Buddy, you are gorgeous

Harrier is "a Beagle on steroids"
From DoubleRR link.... maybe a Harrier and a Beagle have similar DNA? Who knows how exacting those DNA tests are

I saw a Beagle mix just like this once , I think it was coonhound x beagle , that would explain the long legs ... or he could be Beagle mix supermodel , that would explain the long legs too...
