My fur baby and my real baby!

Earlier, I posted: http://pets.ca/forum/showthread.php?t=70478

Anyways, I was wrong, LOL. My baby arrived on June 8, 2010 (Alexandre, boy)

Here are some pictures of the first meeting! It was very very difficult for Simba at first. He was very happy and curious about the baby, but the baby's crying and screeching really upset him. He was very "off".

Turns out my baby had a fractured collarbone (9lbs 3oz - shibamom is NOT a big woman either) and wow, did Simba ever sense the pain and distress. He's healed now and doing better. I also bought a nice sling so that we can walk! We're going for a one hour walk in a bit... should be fun! :-) Simba + stroller don't get along very well :P

Congratulations!! What a good looking baby little (big) Alexandre is. Nice to see that Simba is settling well with him. Was the babies collar bone broken during delivery due to his size??

Thank you so much!!!

Yes, broken on purpose in order to get him out (fetal distress, shoulder dystocia - basically he was stuck )

Here's my new favourite tool, we went for a 1 hour walk! I just wrap my husband's jacket around us!

And now we're off again!

I thought I would share an update.

Simba and Alexandre are now the best of friends, 2 years later. He gently pets the dog when allowed, they snuggle, they are fantastic...

Nothing's more precious than the love between a boy and his dog...

That's lovely, Shibamom, Alexandre would be gorgeous at this age, and as for your dog, even from the back you can see how he's matured. A great snap of them watching the world go by.
