Grooming lessons for my dog in Vancouver area

Hello,

Just wondering if anyone knows of a groomer or school in metro Vancouver where I can learn the basics of grooming my dog (Eg nails, ears, anal glands, basic clipping.)
I heard that there are some groomers who teach on the side. I have no desire to go into the industry or groom other people’s dogs. Back in the day, I recall seeing basic grooming lessons in the adult continuing education program but I don’t see it anymore .

Thanks kindly,
Mary

Not familiar with Vancouver, but until you can find a mentor, another option might be to check out some youtube videos. That's how I learned to do our dogs' nails. A vet tech at the vet you use might be willing to show you how to do the anal glands and basic techniques for ear care. The clipping would probably be easier to learn from a groomer, but you might be able to find videos for that, too, depending on how complicated or ornate you want to get.
