Managing shoulder tumor in senior dog

Hello, I would welcome your thoughts on our situation. Our dog is 15 (Shepard/collie mix) and has a large tumor on his shoulder that we are trying to keep protected. It is a hemangiopericytoma (not sure I spelled that right) and the vet does not thinking removing it again is an option due to his age & other health issues. It was removed a few years ago but came back and is very aggressive (growing fast) this time. We have been trying 'coats' that cover the shoulder area to try and protect it from himself (he walks into things with it as he doesn't seem to realize it makes him wider) and from our other two senior dogs who still like to play. But I wondered if anyone had experience with ways to wrap the area that worked better as the coat doesn't cover the whole area. Any suggestions would be welcome. He is a darling, happy old boy with lots of personality even though his body is not strong (and he has weak back legs). We are trying to keep him comfortable as much as we can. Thank you, J.

Where on the shoulder is it? Would padding under a t-shirt cover the area better?
