Tomato pomace is a slow fiber. Its used to slow things down so the stool comes out more formed., Basically, its a stool hardener. Also, instead of using whole tomatoes, its just the skins. Basically a by product.

Most of the better brands of food, don't have tomato pomace or beet pulp, which does the same thing.

again, if thats the only thing wrong with the food, its not too bad.

Well, I did email them to ask if they purchase any ingredients from Menu Foods. I got confirmation of receiving my email which said I would get a reply in one business day.

My vet told me his research told him Wellness does not use ingredients from Menu Foods - their market was lowbrow - like generics and Iams which I boycott anyway. My only worry would have been Cat Fancy , no Fancy Feast but I have not given my cats that since maybe 6 months!!

Their market tended to be grocery stores and some pet stores, not many vets or specialized foods. I hope he is correct in that assessment. They may well have some markets of high grade quality food but that was not their main market.

It is still worrisome and I hope to God he's right!! (My vet I mean!
