As you all have probably heard by now the poloitical party leaders are having their televised debate on April 12, 2012. We, the public, are being asked to email any questions we have for them but we must do so by tomorrow, April 7, 2012. If enough of us can submit a question regarding getting the Animal Cruelty Act changed then perhaps it will be one of the questions selected.

Now this is just a sample question, which I've happily "thieved" from one of my FB groups but it may help if you are unsure as how to word your question...

"With the ever increasing amount of serious animal cruelty cases occurring in our country, the majority escaping punishment due to our vague, insufficient federal laws and reminding you of the proven link between animal-human violence.. would you be willing to take a strong stance against this by supporting a Bill based on C-229 as a Gov't legislation to give the courts the ability to prosecute and deter offenders?"

I think this is the first election that we have no idea who to vote for,don't like anyone,don't trust anyone and promises are just that promises

However any improvement for our animals,wild or domestic..would get our vote!

Chico, politicians will say what ever they have to to get into power. The best thing to do is to step back, look at the big picture of each party and what they stand for. I don't believe any politician is totally honest, some are just a bit more corrupt than others.

Couldn't agree more chico. The only thing we can do is try to figure out who is a bit less of a crook. I used to like Hudak. Not so sure any more. Iggy can go back "home" to the States. And Harper - yeah............

It sounds much better than the one I sent ....think I'll use that and re-word it a little and send another using my other email addy.

Same here Chico ....that's why I really hope this question gets enough support so it gets asked as it would be the deciding factor as to who gets our votes.
