White . . . . . then green
A few weeks ago we were up in the high country . . . . and a snowstorm descended on us while earlier fresh snow bogged us down.
Abby takes a break with skies darkening behind her. below, we were going up yonder, but the snow was proving to be too deep. We had been up there in January with almost no snow!!! Keeper and Abby on the march . . . . . . Keeper ended her chemo treatments last week. A moose momma jumps a fence while her baby waits on the other side. ] Below, we got tired of hiking through snow and stayed lower, hiking this area on the Eastern Slopes of the Rockies, west of Longview. The following weekend, Keeper revels in the green around her . . . . . even as the mountains remain swathed in white. Below, Keeper explores a coulee . . . . . the bitter winter just ending reveals itself with a poplar on the left still waiting its leaves, now two weeks late. Later, Keeper jumped into the stream and didn't notice a trout flopping in the shallows beside her. It eventually slithered downstream to a deeper pool. Below, Chain Lakes, free of ice at last. Pelicans take flight from Abby, out of the picture below but closing in. This is Keeper's favourite walk. Rick C www.goldentales.ca

For sure M&M--especially with her baby near! Your lucky Rick that she didn't come a charging at you!
Oh wait...you probably had a zoom lense that was a gazillion feet away and safe from harms way. Stunning thread again Rick. Keep em coming.
