Dog papilloma

Hi all,

My puppy is about 6.5 months and she has a dog papilloma. I read on many sites that azithromycin is suspected to help heal up the papilloma faster. I took my pup to the vet and she said we could give the azithromycin a try. I've given my the 10 day course of antibiotic and it honestly looks bigger than before. I was wondering if anybody hasn't had success from azithromycin. I really was hoping this would work because puppies have endless energy and just keeping my pup away from other dogs is just hard and it's starting to drive me crazy.

Thanks for you help!

Vitamin C is anti-viral, and I would slowly work up to a maximum dose your dog can handle. Being young, I would use sodium ascorbate (NOW brand has a powder), since the calcium ascorbate might throw off the calcium balance for a young growing dog, and regular vitamin C is too acidic.

You want to help build up the immune system, as this is a combination of a virus and an immune system that can't keep it in check.

There are some threads in the main dog section that you might be able to search through. On the other forums I've been on, folks have just supported the immune system and they resolved.
