Cat giving birth

My cat it giving birth and shes not eating all the placenta, I want her to get the nutrition but can i cut the umbilical cord to help her?

Unless you're a licensed Vet, I wouldn't do anything that could cause more problems. Call the Vet and ask what to do.

placenta

I don't believe that your cat has to eat all of the placentas. When my sisters cat had her babies the vet told her to let the cat eat only one placenta. But please check with a vet, just call they usually give free advice.
