Was going to a store in Montreal...

...called Dragon Rouge, but I just found out they closed last year. I was all excited because I was told they had beautiful medieval wedding dresses!!

I hear there are a lot of gothic/medieval/costume stores in Montreal? Is this true?

In the Promenades St. Bruno there is one, not sure of the name, and I think I saw one in Old Montreal today.
The store in St. Bruno had a really pretty dress that I was just saying that if I were to get married one day, that is the dress I would wear.

Well, if you are ever in Toronto...there's always Malabar's ~ it has a great selection. You can rent them as well. I also remember seeing dresses of that period on ebay. Tryt Medieval, Gothic or Wiccan as a search feature if your interested. Quite often theatres and opera houses have a once a year sale of costumes and props ~ might be worthwhile looking into.

There is a Malabar's in Montreal on Parc. Ave. near Laurier. Mont-Royal Ave. has a few stores that might have what you're look for, all between St. Laurent and St. Denis and there is a big medival clothing store on St.Denis a block or 2 south of Mont-Royal (actually I think there are a couple if you keep walking on the same side of the street in the same direction).

There is also Costumes Joseph Ponton in Old Montreal right across the street from The Centaur Theater. They also have some medieval costumes including wedding dreeses that look medieval.

Here's a random pic I found but there are others - I've seen them myself.

Good luck!
