Covenia reaction
Our dog was administered Covenia by our vet to treat a skin infection on her ear flap. Covenia is a long lasting form of injected antibiotic. Our dog began vomiting two days later and on the third day started to have blood in her stool. She became very ill and almost died. After ten days in hospital, she recovered enough to come home.
Has anyone had a similar experience after a Covenia injection? |

Sydney1,We have heard of problems with Convenia ,mostly for cats though.
I would never allow my vet to give my cats Convenia, just to be safe. I hope your dog will recover completely

Convenia in cats has been known to cause liver damage. Please contact your vet to let them know how your dog is reacting.
