Funny! I did the same thing the other night here with a couple of kitties. Got about the same amount of fur off of one. Love the furminator!

Wow.

Is the Furminator really worth the investment? We have a shepherd/lab, and have been looking for brushes. There was another one, looks like the furminator, but has metal handles and such instead of plastic.

Any tips? Or is this a question for a new topic?

The Furminator cost us about $60 but it was well worth it. I kid you not, the entire process took less than 5 minutes to get out all that fur! He loves it. It really gets down into the old stuff without hurting them at all.

I'm not sure about any substitutes, but the Furminator is a brand name I think, so it will say on the package. I don't know if the other kinds work as well as this is the only one we bought (the previous regular brushes just don't measure up for such a thick double coat).

Couple more brushing and you could stuff a pillow!

Great video!

Well, we bought the furminator, and Oh.my.dawg. We had what amounted to two soccerball sized balls of fur when we'd compacted down what came out of her. And she's a short-but-double-coated dog. Unbelievable.
