Tiny bites - made for an old dog not eating
Base 1/2 cup water 1/2 tsp sugar (organic) White flour (unbleached) enough to make stiff dough Knead & roll out thin Melt some margarine and lightly spread it over the dough Cut into about 4 long strips - Filling 1/ 4 cup ground lamb hamburg 1 tbsp Wheatgerm 1 tbsp corn syrup Sprinkle of "Canine vitamins & mineral premix" (can be gotten at your vets) Mix well using your fingers Roll out into 4 long strips Place each strip on cut dough, Roll the dough over each lamb strip same as you would a jelly roll Cut in small bite size pieces Bake 350 for 15min Remove and drop into chicken broth, (Homemade no salt) Return to oven and bake 5 more mins - Made these for one of my neighbors old corgie dog, Shes not been eating or doing to well. But she liked these and actually ate with some enthusiasm. Maybe someone else can get use outta this too. involves abit of work to it, But its worth it when they eat it. Hope i didn't forget a ingredients, cause I never write a thing down till after the fact! |
