Two week old Kitten needs friends

This is Curby. He was found on the sidewalk and taken in by a well meaning young lady. He was having some difficulties with eating and bowel movements so was going to be left at the SPCA. He is two weeks old. We are referring to Curby as a he as I'm not sure and forgot to ask the vet during his exam yesterday. Curby is now eating well from a bottle, having normal toilet functions and getting active. We would like to find a group of kittens for Curby to socialise with once he is on solid food. We would like the kittens to be close to his age at that time. We would also like it to be in a healthy home as we do not wish to expose him to any unnecessary diseases. If you can help him when the time comes, please pm me. Thanks very much.

Oh poor little baby! Socialization for kittens is not the issue it is with puppies, but it would be nice for him to have a playmate in his new home when the time comes.

Thanks for helping the little mite!

It is with great sadness that I post of the passing of Curby. One week after he arrived, he showed all the signs of Rhino so was started on medication and greatly improved. As his days continued, I noticed that he was not moving properly and seemed to have fits of "the nasties" where he would claw and severely bite me out of the blue. I chalked it up to not feeling 100%. He was doing well regardless of the movement difficulties and other issues but when I went to feed him last night, he was despondent. I resorted to tubing him and giving SubQ fluids. He did not perk up as he normally would have done. I decided to check his temp and he was very low at 35.8. Off to the DMV we went. I spoke at length with the DMV vet and she indicated that Curby had all the signs of having been born of a mom who had Panleuk and that his odd patterns were the result of brain damage during his stay inutero. She concurred that his little body was giving up the fight so I cradled him in my hand while she put him to sleep. It was three weeks ago yesterday that I brought him home and although a short time, I will miss him greatly. I am sorry Curby that I could not fix all your difficulties but know what I tried to do was give you love.

OH I'm so sorry. I know how hard it is to lose one, especially a little baby that never got to live.

Oh. That's so sad. At least he had a hand holding him. That makes him luckier than most. Thank you for caring about these babies.

Thanks everyone. It was raining so hard on Thursday that I was not able to bury him. Today is a beautiful sunny day so Curby will be laid to rest in the rock garden with a rose bush to remember him by.
