Why don't you adopt a dog who needs a home from a rescue and save it's life rather then go to a breeder. You'll be saving a life, some money and not encouraging the 'mixed' breeding.

There are many rescues and shelters overflowing with dogs, puppies and kitties that need homes.

Yes. Please go to your local shelters or rescue organizations and adopt any of the number of loving and adorable mixed-breed dogs they have available. Try www.petfinder.org, for starters.

All of the so-called "designer breeds" (ex. the shih-poo, malti-poo, labradoodle, etc...) are nothing more than a marketing ploy cooked up by sheisters looking to part the uneducated masses with their hard-earned dollars. Mixing a breed with a poodle does not make it hypoallergenic. It makes it a mutt - and a very expensive one at that.

I'm not in the mood to yell...er, type at you, I just ranted about dog stereotypes a minute ago.

So...why adopt some mutt from a BYB when you can save a life by getting one from a shelter?

Is this one of those poo designer breeds aka backyard breeding but we will charge you a fortune and make you think you are getting a great dog but in reality yo cannot even register it? Seriously, I've never heard of these varieties but would disuade anyone from purchhasing any so called designer mutt. There afe some lovely Lassas and poodles seeking homes. Or if you want one with a pedigree, contact a credible breeder. All the dog orgs do not recognixe the breeds you refer to.

They both remind me of my poodle who died at the age of 17 (May he RIP!!) Poodles are lovely dogs - cannot imagine why anyone would want to mess with their genes!

*peeks from behind bunker* Hey, well done guys! That didn't turn out the way I expected at all! Looks like we may have gotten someone to realize that there are better ways out there than designer breeds! Sometimes it just takes a little education (all the same, I'm keeping my helmet close at hand)
