My cat

Hi I have adopted a cat just over a year ago from the CPL, we took her to a new vets yesterday as we had moved away from the old one.
Purdie is deaf, they think either to be mistreated or involved in a car accident.
She is wobbly on her feet we thought due to her deafness.
But was informed last night she probably has vestietubular syndrome, which was a shock to us.
She has been poohing in the bathroom of late, could this be due to the V.S
I dont know what I can do for her as the vet said it can progress.
I feel very sorry for Purdie, as I dont know how people can just dump animals but, they do and unfortunatly always will...
She is such a poppet and called Purdie as she is always purring, so she must be happy.
Please can anyone put my mind at rest.

Is she still eating and drinking okay? Sometimes the dizziness gives them nausea, making them less interested in food. Have her ears been thoroughly checked for infection? Vestibular disease can often resolve on it's own, as long as the cat is otherwise okay. Anti-nausea meds or anti-inflammatories are occasionally needed. Here's some info:
