Dog yelps when pooping

I have a 7 year old Yorkshire terrier.
In 2019 he started to yelp when pooping.
He had xrays, ultrasounds and in the end was told he could no digest his food properly.
So he was feed Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Canine Hypoallergenic Small Dog Dry.
He was OK till 4 month ago it’s come back.
The vet says there is nothing wrong with him.
I have to find another food for me or put him down.

I have tried almost all the dog food in the shops.
Has anyone got any ideas on what else I can do?

Sort of a long shot, but we've had dogs with back or hip problems that would sometimes yelp when pooping. Have they checked his hips or lumbar spine?

What do his stools look like? Are they normal consistency?

His stools is normal.
I have some medicine to make his stools softer.
But he still yelps.
He has a small arche back.
I am trying fish dog food now.
As I read that may help.

Does his back bother him on occasion?

You might want to add a little fiber to his diet, as well. That'll bulk up the stools some, but should make them softer, if that's the problem.
