Is it my ancient, finicky pc (10/11 yr old IBM Aptiva) or is it the site? I don't know, but maybe you do.
Wow, that was my ole 'puter too! It died in July with the main power supply being the problem. I was really having trouble with my 16 megs of memory and my netscape 3.04 on the internet. It was really a blessing when I was 'forced' to spend the money on an upgraded 'puter!

Anyway, I'm new to the board too, and now that I've read this thread - I'm worried too!

It's possible - like me- her family is going thru a crisis o sorts and she has not had the time or the energy to post??? Or she has a computer problem? Or an ISP problem? If I knew her real name, I bet I could find her in a day. <g> Well ,maybe - I better not start promising tings could not deliver, lol I just hope she is OK!!!! She COULD be hospitalized and not have been able to get to a computer - that happens. I do not mean anything melodramatic but some illness that requires a lot if IV's and say a neogastric tube where one cannot wander around too much.

If I knew where she lived, I organize some of the nurses and friends and we'd check every hospital. <g>

My bf has friends in the RCMP and he says he'd get them to help to- but we do not even know what branch of govt - I thought it was provincial but I could be mistaken???

We've already done searches using her real name, we know basically the area of Toronto that she lives in, Wayne had her phone number, Frenchy has left messages on her voicemail, and had a mysterious friend find out if she's been in an accident or worse. I'm not sure there's any more we can do except wait.

Her work number could most definately solve the mystery if she is off work. Most levels of Government expect a phone message left on extended periods of absence...But I agree I think there is only so far we can go without doing something we shouldnt be doing...We all are worried and miss her but what more can be done??

Every provincial govt has a directory of employees, some online (NB and NS's are). I don;t know about Ont - that may be one way. And the feds also have an online directory of employees. Municipal is another matter but something tells me she works for the province, not sure tho.

Frenchy I think you're right about not trying to contact her anymore and just that she will log on and continue posting as she did before.
If a message has been left on her home phone she could most likely access it even from a different location. I know I can call my home phone from any number and remove my messages, I assume most people can. So maybe she just doesn't want to be found at the moment.
