Photoshoot

My son took some pictures of Jazz today with his professional camera. I think I'm gonna ask him to take more. They look so much better than what I take with my phone

Ha! I love her cute little tongue!

Her colors are just beautiful, Lynne! And look at those glamorous eyes!

Your son did a beautiful job!

Thanks Hazel!
The little tongue doesn't seem to fit inside her mouth

Very cute and Yup - Iphones generally suck for pet photography.

Small tip when using pro cameras.....
1 - always focus on the eyes as in shot 1.
2 - make sure the shutter speed is 1/60 or faster. (and that's for the average kit lens of 18-55mm - for longer lenses that minimum shutter speed will need to be even faster)
If it's slower than that, the camera will still take the picture, but it won't be sharp.
Hope that may help

Is that how you avoid getting red eyes on your pet by focusing on their eyes ? I have photos of my dog looking like the dog with red eyes! LOL! The OP dog is cute and the color is pretty

Nope. The red eye comes from the retina catching the flash. The two most common ways to avoid it is to photograph the animal in enough light that no flash is needed, or to set the flash to pulse twice--once shortly before you take the actual shot to close up the pupils. The smaller the pupil, the less likely you are to see the demonic eyes!
