Poem for Hannah-Early Mornings
Early morning comes
the sun dawns on a cold day my tired eyes, watch your puppy prances on crisp leaves playful dancing on frost laden ground Your nose follows a scent unseen to me,but familiar to you your eyes light in recognition your body wiggles in delight Your world is new so full or promise and delight treats and cuddles are enough for now to satisfy you Your kisses are like small drops of warm sunshine against my cold face telling me of your joy Early morning comes and the world is quiet you and I are alone in peace and I feel my soul awaken |

That is so beautiful! Hannah, you have a beautiful, wonderful life ahead of you. All puppies should be so fortunate!
I read this aloud to my hubby and his response, "Wow! That's good!" We started talking about how it reminds both of us of this sleep aid (Ambien?) commercial that ran on TV last year that shows early morning and the household slowly coming to life with a litter of golden puppies awakening and all tumbling out of their basket. What happy mind pictures! |
