Welcome! Ooooo a papillon! "My what big ears you have grandma"
Any pictures of the beauty?
(I'm not overly knowledgable on breeding, I'm just heading up the welcome-wagon right now)

Out of curiosity, is there a particular reason why you want to breed her? (ie is she a show champion, etc?). A lot of people here (myself included) have some strong oppinions on breeding pets, so don't get scared off of the site if some people ask you some pointed questions, we are only looking out for the best interest of the animals.

Please, in a world where hundreds of dogs are being put down every hour, do not breed your dog. What will you do when you have 6 puppies who all need to be cared for? Will you breed them too? If you want to take care of puppies, foster or adopt rescue puppies.

That is not a good enough reason to breed your dog. Is she registered, are you having al the tests done to ensure that she is clear from genetic defects, are you showing her to champion, do you have proof of the parents, grandparents genetic testing. What does your dog have that will improve the lines of this breed. Are you prepared to lose your dog while giving birth, are you prepared to physically and financially care for all the puppies if the people you send them to no longer want them somewhere down the road. What will you do if your dog passes on a genetic defect that is either very expensive to correct or the puppy dies from one. These are just some of the things to consider before breeding. Do you have any idea how many dogs there are that are going to lose their lives because they can't find a home.
The only reason why one should breed is if they can offer something to better the breed.

Welcome Smiley,

Wouldn't you rather spend time with your friends, boyfriend, shopping, game boys etc than spending time looking after puppies. They will be cute but they will also keep you up at night, and you won't have time to do the things that are fun and enjoyable because you will busy looking after and cleaning up after puppies. If your friends want puppies or dogs why dont you help them rescue one from a shelter.

You would be saving yourself some time and a lot of extra work on your part, and you would also be rescuing a dog that badly needs a home and would make a great pet. Also having babies hurt, ask any mom dog or human. Do you want to put your girl through that?

Not to criticize age, but no 15 year old should be breeding their dog.

Exactly. When I was fifteen I may not have known any better. Hopefully Smiley will take our advice, and/or his or her parent/s will intervene.

Breeding of a dog should only be done by reputable breeders who are breeding for the betterment of the breed. Please do not breed your dog because you like to take care of puppies and you dog would make a good mom.

You are setting your dog up for breast cancer, uteran cancer, needless heats, all for the sake of feeling good about taking care of puppies.

I would like to make a suggestion:

Talk to a local shelter and ask about fostering puppies. You would not only get to look after puppies, you would also see what your dog would be like around puppies.

There are literally THOUSANDS upon THOUSANDS of dogs without homes. Please consider them before adding to the population.

According to the Humane Society of the United States:
There are an estimated 3-4 million dogs and cats euthanized each year in the US alone! PLEASE - spay and/or neuter your pets!
