strange stool
My 6yr old dog had a bout of diarreha during the night. I noticed however that this was preceded by hard, white, old looking feces. What could this mean?

Need a little more information......
what food are you feeding? what kind of treats? did the dog get into the kitten food? have you noticed the dog pick up something on a walk?

Take a sample of the stool and go to the vet to have it analyzed. It is not expensive to do so. This way you will find out immediately rather than having people who cannot see the stool try and figure it out. Good luck.

Had she eaten any bone or eggshells? Or paper/paper towel?
