Unhappy 6 Week Old Kitten Throws Up & Has Diahrea

Hey, my cat boots just had five healthy kittens until about yesterday. Athena, the biggest of the litter, has suddenly began acting sick. He has a little touch of diahrea, he threw up twice today, and is sleeping a lot. He doesn't want to play, he doesn't want to do really anything. I'm 99% positive I should take him to the vet tomorrow but really I'm just surprised by the sickness. Does anyone have any clue what could have caused it? Did he eat his own poop? Would that do this? Could the kitten chow be causing this? They are all still nursing but lately have began to eat kitten-chow and drink water on the side.

If anyone has any idea what could have caused this so I can prevent the other four from suddenly getting sick do let me know. I have 9 cats, I can not afford this going around. The vet bills would bury me alive.

Yes the kitten needs to get to the vet as soon as possible. Mom needs to go too and get spayed.
Have your other cats all had their shots? Are they indoor cats? I'm hoping they're all neutered.

The kitten will be going asap. We're feeding her water through a bottle right now due to she hasn't wanted to feed from her mother, eat the kittenchow, or drink water. We're going to take her in the morning.

All cats, minus the five new kittens, have had their shots. All cats, minus the mother and the five new kittens, and fixed/spayed. All the cats are indoor cats.

Well that's good, at least you know it's not something that a cat has brought in the house that has gotten the kitten sick.
Hopefully the vet will be able to get the kitten feeling better soon. Keep us posted on how you make out.

I'm confused.....in your first post you said it was a boy and your second said it was a girl.

I hope Athena will be okay.....good luck at the vet and keep us posted.
