Luna's Lip *update*
So, her lip has become inflamed again, only not in a tumor like growth, more like an open wound.
I took her to the vet and she is on anti biotics now for ten days to see if it clears up. I asked if it could be an allergic reaction caused by food or something in our environment, but he said the histopathology didn't show any of the cells to indicate an allergy. Soooo, because it didnt indicate anything other than possible infection and definite inflammation, we'd try to see if maybe it's an infection of some sort. She appears to have licked or chewed some fur off the end of her tail, im not sure if it's from the stress of her lip or her living situation for the passed couple of months. We'll see if that improves over the next weeks as the situation's been resolved, now and she is home with me now getting regular love and exercise. Perhaps it will all clear up with things in life being alot better for everyone. Last edited by .unknown.; May 8th, 2007 at 04:57 PM. |

eeepp poor Luna. I'm sure she'll recover fast
my friend's kitty gets a swollen lip once in a while too. They figured it was allergies and she's on special diet food |

We're back to the vet again on thursday.
It's not protruding yet, but it's forming again in the surgical site, now the length of the cut (which is approx 3 inches long)... It's almost as if this surgery promoted the tumor's regrowth. The fact that it's coming back only FOUR days after surgery is extremley unsettling. The Histopathology results aren't ready for another couple of days. I am starting to have some serious fears about what this is. |

Nooo... Sending good vibes and that it's nothing. I bet it's a nasty wart (I hope).

Oh that is too bad. Hopefully it isn't anything serious, and hopefully they will get the source of it this time

this is what came out of the first surgery, this was about 5 days afterward.
and this is after the second, and a batch of antibiotics much better. No sign of the lump or open sore.... the hisopathology when i checked in with the doctor, said the same as last. Which means no cancer. As you can see they took MUCH much more this time and i think it did the trick! She has a crooked smile, but i think she's still just as beautiful as ever. I am so thankful it's almost over! She feels much better and is back to her old self now. *phew* Last edited by .unknown.; May 21st, 2007 at 02:42 PM. |
