Cottage Pooches

Hi, here are some of the dogs from my summer vacation in northern ON.

Shayla - my moms tiny husky, lighter in color on the head, good girl, smart, very obedience, very playful!

Brandy - shaggy mutt, so cute and very well behaved!!

Picaso - my friends bull dog, very rugged, very playful - not too bright - meaning the one pic of him with his tounge sticking out is him almost drowning, he jumped off the dock in to water over my head, sunk like a rock and I had to reach down, bring him up and swim to shore with him.

Silver - Shayla's mom, also a great dog, very beautiful, darker head!

Oddie - little black and white mutt, very playful, high energy!!

Some fish we caught and fried up - pickeral and bass. YUM!!! And some loons. I am missing pictures of Cedar, the german shep x goldenx reserve dog, huge but a big baby!!

It was very funny...even more so after the fact, he went fly over the side of the dock, went really deep and I could see him trying to turn himself upright, I reached down and brought him up and tryed to level him horizontal all the while he was trying so hard to swim...we weren't far from his mom or others or the dock for that matter, and the water was so clear I could see it all below....

He has webbed feet...do most bull dogs? I was surprised, I don't know much about the breed other then they are freakn cute...and along shore he does well but in the deep he couldn't keep horizontal.

He was a little tough guy on land tho, running threw thing rather then around, loved to chase Shayla, never caught her, but tried till he couldn't move his legs anymore!! He really cracked me up.

The husky's are awesome dogs, good off leash and played well even tho the mom Silver isn't socialized much with other dogs. Brandy should belong to an elder, she's quiet, loving, gentle and very well behaved, kinda out of place in this pack of crazies...

This is between Thunder Bay and the Sault Ste. Marie, anyone been there or from that area?

Looks like a great place to vacation! So cool that the dogs all got to come along and visit, too.

Except for my dog...boo wooo booo woooo!!!

But once we got there I was happy to be with other people's dogs and not have one of my own there....it was very relaxing and stress free, a nice holiday away from the resposibility really, and she had a blast while we were away. I had really wanted to bring her, as you can see...it's a dogs paridise there, but I am glad we didn't.

We haven't but, after seeing those pics, I'll definitely put it down on our list of camping places to visit next Spring. Did you stay at a campground? Are there any nearby?

I loved all the pictures of the doggies but the one with the high clouds and sun setting over the lake is my favorite. Beautiful!

This is my parents cottage and land, they use it year round, even in 6' of snow!!! hahah! But yes, there are so many beautiful areas in northern ON, water everywhere for as far as the eye can see, lake Superior is something to see if you've never been. There are tones of camp grounds between TBay and the Soo, tones. I would suggest August or September if possible, the spring is still chilly and wet and enough bugs and flies to carry you away!!
