Arrow Dog food analysis and reviews

Finally, I came across this site to help me decide what to feed Ebony. I can now just choose from the 6 star or 5 star rating and not have to hear the whole sales pitch in the dog food store about which brand to buy.
Solid Gold Wolf King is a 4 star for example. Wellness is a 5 star.

Just click on your dog food and see what the anaylist reviews about the food.

I am considering trying Canidae now, a 5 star rating, instead of the food I was feeding her was a 3 star.

Exclamation

I found this site about a week ago and learned A LOT from it.

I was shocked to learn that the Nutro Natural Choice - Lamb & Rice that I was feeding my pup only gets 2 out of 6 stars! They do use real lamb and rice is certainly better than corn.....but it is SO full of rice and rice fragments, making it very grain heavy when dogs should be getting most of their protein from meat. And I never knew the dangers of dried beet pulp or Vitamin K before

I am now considering Wellness or Orijen. I was shocked at the cost (about $60+ CDN for 30 lb. bag), but according to their feeding guidelines Chase would only need 3 cups. He gets 4 1/2 cups of Nutro, and I'm already spending nearly $45 on a 30 lb. bag of what is apparently crap!

WHY ARE DOG FOOD COMPANIES GETTING AWAY WITH THIS???? Nutro is VERY convincing at marketing itself as a high-quality food!

I feed my American Eskimo Fromms Four Star Salmon A La Veg - although we have just branched out to alternating it with the Fromms Duck and Sweet Potato - he loves both and since the Duck has a different shape, my guy was very interested - not that he doesn't love everything. I think it came in at a 5 - found it 3 years ago on a list shown on the Eskie specific board. At his 4th year physical last week the new vet - very experienced asked me what we were feeding him and told me to absolutely keep it up.

It's a fantastic site. It definitely makes the researching of dog food a little easier. Seems like I've spent hours checking out all the different food websites.

Yes, that is a good site but I would also read and bookmark theses two sites as well.....

www.dogfoodproject.com

www.dogaware.com

Although they do not rate dog foods they both have excellent information to help you understand why you should feed premium/holistic brands.
