Red face new doggie restaurant in calgary

I'm new here, so I'll apologize now if I do anything wrong! Has anyone heard about a new restaurant that opened in calgary that only serves pets? There was a story on the news about it but I missed where it was and the name... any help would be appreciated!! It's nice to meet you all too!

Welcome to the board and we'd love to see pics of Karma.

I don't live in Calgary but just wanted to say if you phone your Chamber of Commerce, they might know.

I can't find anything about any such place online, and since the original poster seems to have disappeared into cyber-space, I guess we can't ask any more questions, like what news station the report was on, or whether they meant they "serve pets" FOR dinner rather than "serving pets dinner"... which sounds terrible, but I remember a news report about a restaurant that was serving coyote and cat in Edmonton. There's a possibility it was something similar in Calgary and the story got twisted.

Sorry to ruin everyone's beautiful images.
Melissa

Red face

Hi, I'm a new member here. I came across these posts/ website while researching about a new "pet restaurant" I had been told about; it was recently featured in the news (2008.) I know these posts are from 2006 so maybe you've already found your information by now. When I went to find info, I couldn't really find much at first, not even the business name, but I kept looking. I found the following, I hope this helps! The name of the restaurant is called "Doggy Style Deli" in Edmonton, AB. There are also similar restaurants (some have the same business name & there are completely different business names) located in Vancouver, B.C. and throughout the United States.

Here are the links to the stories I found:

I'm from Calgary, and I know they have had 'Dog Dinner Parties', and there a quite a few new Dog spas,(which serve special meals, and dog clothing stores opening up.Often they have fancy dog dinner parties for raising funds for rescue organizations.I do know that there are people who do bake dog stuff, and make
homemade treats to sell at some of the pet shops.I also know that there are some Dog
'Hotel' like places if you are going away, and they are '5 star' kind of places.
I did a quick check also, but no 'offical dog diners'....yet.

Hi everyone!

I live in Calgary as well...

How do you go about finding info for the dog dinner parties
,
I would be very interested in attending one, or helping organize one...
