KoKo,taking your dog along should not be a problem,I am not sure of what you need to do,but someone more knowledgable than me will come along I am sure.

Hong Kong Vet

Hi,
Good Luck with your Move. We brought our dogs back from Hong Kong 6 years ago with us to Canada. If you call your vet they should be able to provide you with current companies who handle pet transit and to examine your pet and be sure he/she is up to date with vaccinations that may be required for the country of entry. We did not drug our dogs for the flight and all went well.

Good luck with the move and you should be able to take your doggy with you. It's some extra work but it's possible.
You need to check the requirements for bringing pets to the UK depending if you come from a rabies free or not rabies free the requirements might vary but it's possible either way. Also you have to check with the air line because they have their own requirements that usually match most of the country of destination (but there could be some differences) then buy his/her spot on the plane. In some planes they can go under the seat with you. Since this is a long flight maybe not but only one way to know... Asking them. I'd rather having my dog/cat with me than put them as cargo but sometimes well.. You just have to take the only option available.
Or theres's also the option of a company that travels with the dog as someone mentioned.
Good luck!!!

Hey guys, quick question:

If you have a dog in the cabin on a long-haul flight and she wets the pee-pads in her crate, does that set the housetraining back when you land? Will the dog understand that it was only allowed as a one-time thing or will you have to re-housetrain when you get to your destination? Thanks!

I personally dont think it would impact the dog's house training. As with any new environment you will need to show them what the rules are.
