no no, it's good that it is not. I don't want a wal-mart brand, that is the other reason I want to switch from Wellness. apparently it is supposed to be sold there this summer?

sadly it's true. Apparently it's been at Walmart in the US since January. That's why they did the craptastic formula changes - cheaper to produce.

Im pretty stoked on it really. Roland loves it, i have already noticed a decrease in shedding and his coat is thicker (and thats only after 5 days!)

RolandsMom, where do you buy Solid Gold from? I went to their site and they don't list Canada retailers. We have Petsmart, PetLand, Petcetra...all the regular pet stores around and I don't think I've ever seen it. Mind, you I've never looked. I buy the Innova & Wellness from a smaller independant store so maybe I could get it from them? I'd like to give it a try with my cats.

Dracko i buy it from a little private shop too. just out of interest i got the ash and magnesium levels from them yesterday too. dont sound too bad to me. (although im not sure what this should be)

The ash is 6.5% and the magnesium is 0.09%.
Best regards,
Solid Gold

Well,2 bites of the NEW Wellness Core and they don't touch it anymore

I wish all companies had little tester-bags

thats the problem with kitties, very fussy lol. You could try just a few kibbles in with their regular food. With any new kibble change i've done in the past, i always used the new food as treats starting off.

I do that too,but it did not work they just said'you call that a treat'
I have them on Chicken-Soup and Solid Gold, but wanted to try one step up.
I'll try some Orijen when the store get it on tuesday.
My cats are used to changes,I change their food quiet often+they get canned as their main meals.

Roland is now on Solid Gold. hes shedding is WAY down and now i use the little tester bags i got of Califonia natural, EVO and Eagle Pack as treats. i tried the Orijen with him and although the change was so much easier than my attempt at the change to EVO he still preferred his old food (the neutro) . that might have been cause i gave him two bowls (one of each) and he got to choose. probably not the best way make a change )
