I need help
Hi Everyone
I am new to this page but glad I found it We have two border collies........Julie who is 2 1/2 and Schamus 5 months. We welcomed Schamus into our home in August. The problem is Schamus will not house train.......we take him out for long periods of time and he has no inclination to do anything......sometimes we are lucky and get a one.........he comes back in the house and immediately does a two........... We have read all the books and have diligently been using the kennel.........after he eats he goes in the kennel then we try and take him outside...........it is only when he comes back in that he does his business...... Now his sister is starting to pick up some of his bad habits We are at our wits end............any suggestions??????? |

Have you tried using a crate?

You have to keep him outside and keep walking him around until he goes outside. Key is to put him on a leash and walk him, exercise will help to make him go.
Then praise the heck out of him. Cindy |

Best times for doggy potty is during exercise, after eating, after naps and waking up in the morning. If you feed at regular intervals, the potty breaks should be pretty regular too.
