Ermagerd... That'd put an end to my tomatoes! I hope I can harvest a few more before we see snow

Is it supposed to stick around for a while?

You can put green wrap green tomatoes newspaper and put them in a paper bag to ripped , my parents did this, or made fried green tomatoes or pickle them.

We got 5 inches yesterday, expecting another 5 overnight, and 5 more by Wednesday afternoon!!! Then back to more seasonal temperatures on Thursday, and into the 70's by the weekend. As we say in Calgary 'Don't like the weather, stick around a minute... it will change." Lol mowed the lawn on Sunday....shoveling snow on Monday!! I guess I will have to go out and try shaking the big trees in my yard, so much snow accumulates when the leaves are still on when we get a heavy wet snow. Lots of trees and branches down all around the city. Love those Rocky Mountains .....but they make for some interesting weather patterns.

And I thought WI was bad! We're downright sane in comparison as far as weather goes, although things change frequently here, too. 15 inches! whoot whoot! (sorry, couldn't resist--I really do love snow!

Barkingdog, we do that at the end of the season, but we've found that if we wrap them before they at least get that first pink blush, the tomatoes never ripen--and neither of us cares for fried or pickled green tomatoes. Fresh and red for us!
