Looking for Good Vet in GTA

Hi Everyone,
My cat is going to require extensive dental surgery, they are going to have to remove most of her teeth.. if not all. I have had a quote at my regular vet, which is not always the cheapest. I do trust them, however money is tight and it is a very expensive surgery. I would like to call around to compare prices but I want a vet I can trust to do a great job. Can anyone recommend a vet in the GTA (I will travel but the closer to Mississauga the better) that I could call for a quote. Or better yet, has anyone had a good dental surgery done in the area?

holly crap those rates are expensive!!! That extraction charge is more then a human tooth extraction and that's with the meds! Try the Missisauga Animal Clinic or Banks Animal Hospital near the Beaches. Although you may have better luck getting better prices in the US or at a country vet outside of the big city.

The poor cat! How will she eat with no teeth? Is your cat really old and that why her teeth need to come out?

To reassure, they can "gum" it pretty well. Even hard kibble. Our girl lost all her teeth and had no problem with her kibble. Mind you, she didn't lose them all at once, just one or two at a time over many years. Despite regular cleanings. All at once is harder on them.

I can tell you this....My cat twiggy had 4 tooth extractions just a couple of weeks ago and the price was similar.

She now only has her 4 front teeth. Aside from the expense she is adapting well though...she eats mostly wet food but does have kibble once in a while and loves it (even with only 4 teeth)
