Question Chihuahua episode. Any idea what this could be?

Hi,

Our family chihuahua, Zoey, had some sort of an attack earlier today. It was strange and she hasn't ever had one like this, so we're unsure of what this could be. My dad took a video of it, so we'd greatly appreciate any thoughts or insight this community might offer. The vet saw the video and suggested it could be related to anal glands needing to be expressed. Just looking for additional thoughts before taking her in.

Here is the link to the video. Thank you so much.

Aw, poor Zoey! It could be anal glands--she just can't reach them to express them herself. Has she been scooting her butt across the carpet at all? How is her behavior otherwise? Eating, drinking, peeing, pooping okay?

And welcome to both you and Zoey, btw! She's adorable!

I'm with HRP - looks like dooger is uncomfortable ....looks like a potential scooting/ anal gland issue.

here's a bit more info from our site:

Thanks a lot for taking a look and offering some ideas, we appreciate it! She had her glands expressed this morning, hopefully that takes care of the problem. We'll keep an eye out to see how the situation evolves.

Thanks again,
Brett
