Advice For A Newbie?

Hi Everyone!
I'm new here, and this is my first post. A little history: We lost our BMD/Rotti/Boxer/Collie at the beginning of this year . Although I doubt I will ever "get over" our loss, our home doesnt feel like a home unless there's animals running around, thus, we rescued a 15 week old Lab/Pyrenees last week . My question is:
We were originally going to rescue his sister as well (there were only two pups left - how could you say no to one??)...but then we did some reading on Littermate Syndrome and consulted with our obedience trainer about it as well. We opted to adopt just one for now. While reading about Littermate Sydrome, lots of articles said it can affect dogs close to age, even if they're not from the same litter. Now, if we wait until our little guy is say, a year...and rescue another one that is also a year...could we have problems? Should there be a certain number of months/years between the two?
Thank you in advance for any replies!

you'll get both sides of the coin here, oh and welcome to the forum, pics are very welcomed.
Some will say its hard to train when you get two the same age, same litter etc. others will tell you its a lot easier, in our obedience class we had two families that each adopted two dogs from a litter, two were chocolate labs, and the other two belonging to the other family were pugs. We went through 2 yrs of training with both families, (we only had one dog) but they seemed to have no problems, in one family , Dad and mom each took a dog and never stayed in the same vacinity, the other family it was mom and 10 yr old son. We still see them occasionally, 4 yrs later and all dogs are well behaved.
