Our dogs do that too, kittygirl. Whether they're wet from being washed off or still wet from whatever rancid swamp water they've just gotten into!

I am surprised because he can be quite an anxious little guy. It would be more like him to come out of the bath and bury himself in his blankets.
I coaxed him and praised him and took my time during the bath so he wouldn't start submissive licking. I've also learned that when I apply consistant pressure while stroking him down his back and across his rump, one hand at a time, he relaxes big time. Like a bit of massage. And it seemed to work! Honestly I would welcome a few idiot laps and rubbing on the carpet once in a while. DH took some of the scrub down but I didn't download them yet. Here's Otis in his typical posture, we call this hidden dog. |
