For those who think PETA is ok....

I won't even debate this one.....

According to official shelter reports filed with the Commonwealth of Virginia (where the PETA "shelter", if you want to call it that, is located), PETA took in 2345 animals, of which 44 were adopted out, 2,200 were killed (euphemistic word used in report is "euthanized"), and 63 were transferred out of the shelter. PETA's kill rate in 2010 was 93.81%.

That's worse odds than playing Russian Roulette...

For comparison, the humanesociety.org and asilomaraccords.org give adoption/euthanasia stats near 50/50 as a US country average.

I was invited to one of their meetings. It was really something to hear..
After a question I asked, I was literally picked up by both arms and tossed!.
These people are 'snapped'. I highly doubt I will ever be invited again...

Darn! I just got an email about their kill rates for cats/kittens. I was so disgusted by it I deleted it. The numbers were almost 3000 cats brought in. 3 adopted. 3! The rest weren't rehomed or taken to another shelter. They were simply killed. It makes me weep.

Guys....the fact that they have to resort using half naked women in their advertising campaings speaks volumes about the type of organization that they are....A bunch of locos with a licence to kill, trying to divert the attention with flashy posters.....

Veggie here.. PETA is WHACK. Totally won't support them financially. I do use some of their campaign stuff for fur/meat, but their shelter stats are disgusting.. they don't even try. Many of the people in PETA are against pet "enslavement" anyways... many of them won't even support spay/neuter because it is "unnatural" towards cats and dogs.

Their campaigns are effective though, saw one against meat when I was 12 and never ate meat again

Most likely people that don't know how bad their statistics are, they probably think they're helping the animal when in reality is a death sentence
~~~~~
What's with those people anyway? You'd think they love animals but they don't seem to want to help them in the "shelter" (more of a death row really)
Heart breaking
