Issues with the litterbox

I bought nunu a huge round plastic tupawear kinda thing for her litterbox.

It's got a radius if about 2.5 feet, and it's got a height of about 7-9 inches.

Anyhow, I fill it up to about a quarter at most.

It's good, she now has lots of room to do her thing.

But I've got an issue with bits of litter accumulating on the ground. To be honest I'm not comfortable with this, not for me or the cat.

Is ther any methods or tricks to minimize the amount of litter content on the ground?
