Suspicious lump
My 12 year old broken haired Jack Russell terrier has a lump that appeared last month on her lower lip, it’s doubled in size within a month and the vets are refusing to see her at the surgery because of covid 19 restrictions. I’m be sent them pictures of when I first noticed it on March 20th and again when I tried to get another appointment on April 13th. I’m really worried they haven’t even called back to say what they think it is and won’t see her till restrictions are lifted but at the rate it’s growing I don’t know if it will be operable by that time ! Is there a way to put a picture on in case someone knows what it is and can help me ?
Many thanks Raffo |

If you find a photo-sharing site, you can upload the picture there, then post a link on the board here. Alternatively, if you can get the picture downsized, you can upload it to the board as an attachment. Here are some instructions: Posting pictures on the Pets.ca bulletin board
Meanwhile, have you tried calling a different vet clinic? Different clinics seem to be handling the social distancing differently. Many will let you wait in the parking lot while they take your dog in for examination, then communicate with you by cell phone when they've had a look--and I'm rather surprised that your clinic didn't suggest that for your dog. Maybe if you explain the situation to a different vet they'd be willing to take a look. ![]()

By the bye, the 100K size limit on attachments isn't quite what it seems. There appears to be some data compression by the board itself, beyond the resizing you do on your own. I've been able to upload pictures as big as 400 -500K because of that data compression, so if you play around a bit, you may find a happy medium that gives you a clear image big enough to show the lump in good detail.
