So I'm a waitress at a private club.

My moms boss comes there every once in a while, seen him 4 or 5 times in 3 years.

So he was there last week with some co-workers customers. Introduces me to them then turns to me and says "so your mom finnally went and did the dog justice".

I was on hour 12 of my 15 hour shift with about 4 hours sleep. I had not talked to my mom in a few days but I knew it would be coming poor baby hasn't been well.

since I was leaving on vacation the following day, I knew I wasn't to know til I got home.

I looked at the insensitive a#% h@#@ and said "was she at work today?" he said "yes" and so in my self denile I said "then she didn't do it"

my question is

who makes the death of a family animal (member) small talk. even if I did know why would I of wanted to talk to him about it at work?

I almost broke down, I was rather proud of my self held it together til the car ride home.

Someone who doesn't consider their pet a "family member".
