hi everyone
just saying hello...I have a pup who eats anything it can get, it just eat a lollipop stick, does anyone know if this will dissolve or just come away

Was it plastic or cardboard? Did he chew it first or just scoff it down? Either way, if it were my dog, I'd take him to the vet for a feel-up and possibly an xray. If it gets caught up somewhere in his system, you could have a very sick puppy on your hands.

thanks for your reply, it was wood and he just scoffed it straight down without chewing it...he is fine at the minute eating, playing and pooing as normal.

Oy! Puppies! Such a worry when they're being naughty!

Please let us know what the vet finds. A wooden stick isn't likely to dissolve and the length of it may cause problems when Puppy tries to pass it. that everything is okay!

well went to the vet, he checked him out and didnt find anything..his temperature and colour was find..looks like a waiting game...i'm actually following him round the garden now, he keeps looking at me as if to say do you mind bit of privacy here....can someone tell me how to upload pics on here..and thanks everyone for replying...

Go down to the bottom of the page where you post and click on Manage Attachments. From there you can browse for the picture you want to post. Notice that the board only takes 100 whatsits. You can reduce the size using your photo software, under Format.

nothing has happened yet with lollipop stick, still watching him and he behaving as normal...he never stops eating 3 meals a day, was going to try to cut him down to 2 but i dont think it will work as hes always hungry...hes such a sweet dog..he would nearly lick you to death....

hes such a cutie. i thinnk you'll be fine cutting him down to two meals in a day in a little while i had no trouble with that with enzo, i feed him a cup of dry food (sometimes with olive oil on it, good for dry skin) and at supper i feed him about half a cup of dry food and 1/3 a can of wet food ( the big cans) but at meals he looks like he could always eat more, but i know he would eat untill he was sick, plus he gets a few treats throughout the day to help tide him over. hope all goes well with the lollypop stick.

hi all, just to keep you updated..the lollipop kid done a poo today and out comes the lollipop stick still intact...have never been so relieved....all fine and well for now..
