Dog having issues

Hello, just joined this group. Great site. I have a Shih Tzu named Sophie, she is 15 months old and last Thursday she started behaving "drunk". My husband was home but in another room, she didnt recognize him for a few minutes and she had issues walking. Her hind legs would go out from under her and she could not jump up as usual. After a few minutes she was ok as far as recognizing my husband and started acting normal again. However, she still curls in and walks sideways once in a while. She does not cry or whine or act like she is in pain. We think she may have hit her head jumping down from the couch and hit the table but we have no other idea what could be wrong....other than taking her to the vet for tests, has anyone encountered this type of behavior?

Thanks any ideas welcome...
