Wink taming a budgie

Hi. Another question from the "first time birdie Mommy". I want my new budgie to be socialized, and so far I have had him on my finger quite a few times, in the cage, and once in a small room on my finger out of the cage. How should i proceed with taming my new little budgie?
Thank you for any advice.

I would just continue with what your doing Spend lots of time around his cage, talking to him. Try offering him treats and food from your hand and continue getting him to go on your finger saying something like "step up" or "up" whenever you do. Gradualy taking him out of the cage in an enclosed area, talking to him and reassuring him while he's out should help too. You seem to be on the right track so it should'nt be too hard socializing your new little friend.
