I have very mixed feelings about this.
Thoughts?

I've been seeing a lot of stuff recently about CBD and it's use in therapy. It looks promising, but statements like this one (from the above link) give me pause:

Quote:
"Pharmaceuticals typically come with side effects and liver damage whereas hemp terpenes and CBD's do not," Jerousek explains, adding that many of her customers are sick of chemicals and coming to realize that they're damaging to the planet, their bodies, and their pets.
I'm not sure how many clinical trials there have been to prove there are no side effects, or science that might indicate CBD is less 'damaging to the planet, their bodies, and their pets'. And until the trials are run, I'll maintain my skepticism about such claims.

I found this web site about giving pot to pets and something pets pot poison from it. This was my concern b/c there is no way to really tell just 'how stone ' your pet is. People know when they're stoned out of their mind , pets owners are not going to be to tell when their had too much before it too late . This is a very bad idea to and if I find my dog Marty getting stoned at night he in the dog house for a long time !

I am for legalizing it's use medically, just as I am for humans. My understanding is the components used for medical use do not promote the same effects as recreational marijuana, those components have been removed.

I am against legalizing it at all for recreational use. It's use is abused now, who is to say the current abusers (like my next door neighbours) will not abuse more and there will not be new abusers? We have such great control already over it and alcohol and cigarettes, NOT.

A joke about my neighbours. About a year or so after they moved in the man confided to my OH that they smoke it a bit. REALLy? You sit out on your deck and puff away and the smoke drifts over here and you think we didn't already know that?

I voted to get pot legalize in my state to try and cut down on the crime rate . I think this is a bad idea using it for pets b/c a lot of people will try using
pot that not for medical use on their pet , and I feel what is the point of smoking pot if you can't get stoned on it .

I'll be glad when they legalize weed. Israel of all places has been leading the way with medicinal weed and they are coming out with some great results.

I would have no issue with using THC or CBD on my pets.
