Shasta has found a new home

to my BirdIsEvil and DH for offering a new life to Shasta.

Also to Shirley 1011 and DH for volunteering to transport Shasta to her new home. that date can be arranged.

Winston and I would like to thank everyone for your help and support.

Yay for a good news story. I am comfortable knowing that when my time comes my son will not abandon my pets in their time of need (nor will DH, but he'd have to fight my son for custody). It's good to know my pets are loved. Thank you to all who have helped to save this beautiful pup.

We're just trying to figure out the logistics of actually getting somewhere to pick her up! Hopefully we will be picking her up the week after next though.

And yeah, of course there will be lots of pics after she's here.

If you want to take the scenic route, you can meet up at Hazel Run Gadz, there are times when I definitely wish we lived further east!

Can't wait for the pics! I hope the logistics get worked out soon!

I can't help it!

I have to wait until my husband gets back home from work (on the 31st) so he can drive to wherever he's picking the dog up (which we're not sure about yet...thought it would be Michigan but turns out we may be able to do somewhere closer).

I wish we could, but this is gonna have to be a quick drive up there and get the dog (possibly without me, since I have classes).
Usually if we're driving somewhere it ends up a pretty long road trip and we drive around to see stuff, but the fall semester just started so I'm not going anywhere anytime soon .

You'd have to be lost to find here, anyway... We're sorta off the beaten track!

Classes! How exciting! You gonna end up as a vet? If so, I'll offer you a retainer and living quarters!

Haha, you obviously don't know how me and my husband do road trips
Sometimes we just drive around aimlessly and find interesting stuff. That's the best way IMO (if you have some extra money on hand, otherwise you might end up stranded )

Not becoming a vet. It's nearly impossible to get into a veterinarian program, and I don't think I'd be confident enough to work on people's pets . Not to mention I'd probably go broke treating a bunch of animals for free.
I'm going into biology (eventually ichthyology (fish) and herpetology (reptiles))

Thanks everyone. My husband should be picking her up on the 2nd. I won't be able to go because of classes (I have some tests that week otherwise I'd go anyway), but oh well, that's how things go sometimes!

I'd love to see more pics of her Winston. Since I can't meet her until she gets here, that will have to do for now.
