Judith's progress

I am at the hospital now, and I had a small meeting with one of Judith's doctors. The fluid around Judith's heart is going down now!!!! And she drinks about 2/3 of her bottle during feedings. So all is great. I plan on being here most of the week, now that all our company is FINALLY gone.

Good new Lilith. Hopefully she will be going home soon to be with you guys. You must be exhausted so if I were you I would get some rest you are going to need it soon. Keep the good news coming

Your family album is just terriffic.
I wanted to say Hi, and update myself on you and James , and see how you were making out with our little princess Judith With two jobs now and no computer time I haven't been here much, but I think of you often, as my first grandchild is to be born in March. I was sad to hear she was not home yet but as was said before, God sure did pick a wonderful and caring :love: set of parents for this sweet little girl.....she is just georgeous by the way .
I wish you , James and Judith all the best, hope she is home soon sounds like she is really getting some great medical care.

Judith is still in the hospital. We were transfered back to Childrens, due to a skin infection where they made the insicion for her operation. Was a good thing too. The doctors at Childrens found the source of the fluid that is around here heart. I guess babies are born with a small hole in their heart, between the right and left sides. And it closes up on its own, most of the time, within a week. Well, this hole was taking place of a valve that she is missing, and it started closing, causing blood to flow through it slower, and back up. So she had a Cath done yesterday, and they ripped the hole bigger. Plus her artery going to the left lung is restricted. But that can hold off until her 4 month surgery. Other than that, Judith is doing great. There was some talk about her coming home by next weekend. I am hoping that we have the new house by then, otherwise Judith will have to stay at a hotel until the housing company cooperates. And I think after they find out that they HAVE to pay for a place for us to stay (law) being that it is on them that the house is unsuitable for Judith to live in, that they will give us a house right away.

Lilith,I bet you are dying to get little Judith home,as you know I've been there...but I am happy the doctors are cautious,they do not want to take any risks.Get lot's of rest whille you can

Well, from the sounds of it, she will be coming homenext weekend. Atleast that is the doctor's hopes. He is planning on discharging her that soon, if she is doing as well as she is right now. She has been taken off from her feeding tube, and is doing great! I am just hoping that We have the new house by then. But even if we don't the housing company is the one who has to pay for a hotel room until the get us a new house being that it is their issue that the house is unsuitable for Judith to live in.

Talked to the nurse today. She said that the doctors want to release her in a couple of days!!!

Woo hoo! Way to go, Judith! You must have been thrilled to hear that news. I hope everything is just cake from here on in. And hey, a hotel wouldn't be so bad for a little while. Someone else making your bed and tidying up - bonus!
