Quality canned for good price
Did anyone ever feed wysong canned food? It was developed to feed both dog and cat. I can't get it anymore in Ontario. If you purchase canned food that is 100% meat based with added water only, wouldn't this be good for cat or dog even though it's called "dog food"? Just curious! BG (before grains)(made by Merrick) makes a dog and cat food and both have 100% chicken but a way better value in the dog size can because it's bigger of course. Right now there is a deal, buy one get one free at $3.49 a can. No added grains or nothing......

No, it is not supplemented with some essential nutrients for cats such as Taurine and Vit A.

Any of these 100% meat canned foods are for supplemental feeding only. They aren't balanced with all the necessary nutrients (calcium, taurine, etc). I wouldn't feed them more than 10-15% of a pet's diet unless you add the appropriate amount of vitamin/mineral supplements (for instance, Wysong has a "Call of the Wild" vitamin mix you can use).
Ya, what Love4 said!

Thanks for the tip. I'll use the meat as a topping for my dogs since they are on "good kibble". I'll stick to my evo canned for the cat.
