panacur for cats

My cat is still coughing, had a lungworm test that was negative, but my vet gave me some panacur to treat him. Since this drug is for dogs, and large cats such as tigers, horses, etc., I'm wondering if anyone has used it for cats, and what the results were. Thanks.

I used Panacur when I was at Petland as a worm treatment when puppies first came in, but only on puppies. We never used it on cats. I wasn't overly impressed by it. I found that good ol' Interceptor did a much better job, but that was worms of the digestive system. I am not sure of its effectiveness in treating other types of worms.
