Dog found in Quebec - Notre Dame du Laus

On Saturday July 25 2009 We found a young (1 to 2 yrs old approximately) male Malamute or Husky mix in a remote rural area near Notre Dame du Laus about 90 minutes north of Ottawa/Buckingham. He is grey and white. Very good natured and affectionate. He must be missed by a loving family. Please contact us for information.

Have you put up posters in the area he went missing? Also at all vets and pet stores, etc? And contacted the SPCA, humane society, shelters in your area as well?

Good luck.

Yes we have him at our house but we have children with allergies and can't keep him much longer. This is really hard as we love him already, he is a really good dog. We also had him checked for a microchip, but no luck.

If nothing found try contacting the SPCA of Western Quebec. They are a no kill facility that may be able to help you. Not many rescues take in huskies but try contacting maybe Siber Husky Rescue (excellent organization). She may be able to provide you with some assistance or contacts.

Thank you for taking this dog in.

Benmax, thanks so much for this info. I tried the SPCA in Mont Laurier and Gatineau which are the closest to where we found him. I will try Siber Husky Rescue
