Sweet Bailey has crossed the bridge
Its with a heavy heart I write this, Bailey crossed the bridge on Saturday morning:sad:
Him and Kita had taken off on an adventure together Friday morning at the sitters and did not return back for 7 hours, Bailey must have been having a blast running and playing although his little heart could no longer handle such fun. Friday night when I got them back, B was exhausted and very weak, some time during the night things took a turn for the worst and Saturday morning we sent him to the bridge. It may have been from lack of oxygen to his brain as his heart would not pump properly and carry oxygenated blood to his vital organs ( which is why he had those fainting spells a few years back) we have known for a while now this would one day happen, its just so hard when it does. His huge old heart could not handle what his little legs and young spirit wanted to do most... RUN like the wind. Now at the bridge I am sure he is with Puppy man and they are both running and playing like the gentle souls they are. May you rest in peace Bailey, we will never forget you and thank you for gracing our lives with your quirks for the past 3 or so years. (crazy amount of pictures in memory of B, from most recent to first day with us)

erykah I am so sorry that you have had to lay another to rest so soon after Puppy. I am sure that Puppy was waiting and is now showing Bailey all the wonders of running and playing without any shortness of breath or feeling too weak to continue.

I hear Kita is still looking for her partner in crime which rips my heart up even more, I will be home with them tomorrow night again, it doesn't feel real right now for me at all, but my roomate informed me I have taken to crying in my sleep
 Yesterday was by far the hardest day for me so far. I just want to look back on B's time with us and smile like I do when memories of puppy come up. The grieving process is so hard

 Oh Erykah, I remember when you took in poor Bailey..."failed foster" wasn't it? And who could blame you for not being able to resist that sweet face and those soulful eyes  What a way to go...a seven hour romp in the spring. I am sure he is healthy and happy waiting for you at the bridge still running and romping with all the other pooches up there. Sorry you are crying in your sleep :sad: Hopefully, in time and due course, you will be smiling again soon.
